This wine is a perfect blend of two of my favorite varieties, Grenache and Mataro (what the old-school Aussies call Mourvedre). On the nose I find blackcurrant and a bit of something herbaceous. The flavor is luscious and fills your mouth with bight raspberries and cherries (likely the Grenache) followed by the darker, earthy richness of the Mataro. I even get a bit of chocolate on the finish. This beauty is going to go for years - at least 5 more if you can wait that long.
